The Tale of the Green Tooth
September 18, 2026
Cleveland Marriott East
26300 Harvard Rd.
Warrensville Heights, OH 44122
Optimal treatment plans can quintessentially be viewed as the exact opposite of an accurate diagnosis. This presentation will address fundamental concepts that are essential for both successful orthodontic-only and surgical-orthodontic outcomes. The message not to be lost is these fundamentals are also central to addressing sleep-disordered breathing conditions. Attendees will discover treatment planning from the “inside out” and how this story begins with the Green Tooth!
Attendees will be able to…
  • Identify objectives that are fundamental to achieving optimal treatment goals for facial and smile aesthetics, the periodontium, function, and stability.
  • Understand why treatment planning from the inside out is an essential approach.
  • Appreciate why “airway orthodontics” is not just a passing fad but why we as orthodontic specialists must embrace appropriate care for our sleep-disordered breathing patients.
  • Recognize that the “Green Tooth” is where it all begins.

Dr. Gary DeWood

A World Class Experience, Every Patient – Every Time
May 14, 2027
Orthodontic care is rarely something patients seek out for the experience itself, and many arrive simply because they were told they should. This presentation explores how that reality becomes an opportunity, and how a practice's mindset and culture can turn every visit into an experience patients genuinely want. Dr. DeWood shares how a team-wide commitment to a world-class experience builds relationships that change what patients feel while they are in your care, and how that same commitment can change the nature of the work itself, turning a job into a fulfilling career and uniting the entire team around a shared vision. Attendees will leave with a renewed perspective on the role every team member plays in creating exceptional patient experiences.
